A creamy, fluffy cold foam with vanilla syrup to enhance iced coffees and cold brews.

# Components:

→ Cold Foam

01 - 1/3 cup heavy cream, cold
02 - 2 tbsp 2% milk, cold
03 - 1 tbsp vanilla syrup (store-bought or homemade)

# Directions:

01 - Place the heavy cream, 2% milk, and vanilla syrup into a tall, narrow glass or a milk frother.
02 - Use a handheld milk frother, electric whisk, or shake vigorously in a sealed jar for 30 to 60 seconds until the mixture thickens, becomes smooth, and doubles in volume.
03 - Spoon the cold foam gently over iced coffee or cold brew and serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It transforms ordinary iced coffee into something that tastes like you paid someone else to make it.
  • Takes literally five minutes and requires no special equipment if you're willing to shake a jar like you mean it.
  • Completely customizable with different syrups, so you can match whatever mood you're in.
02 -
  • Temperature matters more than you'd think—if your cream isn't cold, you'll end up with separated, thin liquid instead of foam, which taught me to always start with everything chilled.
  • The 30-second window is real; under-whip and it's just sweet milk, over-whip and you've got butter starting to form, so listen for the change in sound as you go.
03 -
  • A sealed jar and vigorous shaking works perfectly if you don't own a milk frother—sometimes the old-school method teaches you exactly when the foam is ready because you feel the texture shift in your hands.
  • Make your syrup in small batches so you can experiment with different flavors without committing to a full bottle of something you might not love.
